VOLUNTEER
It’s simple: the more of you who volunteer, the more we can accomplish together. Let’s be a team. Here are the key areas where the Tronie Foundation needs your help:
Education. We believe knowledge brings change. The more people who understand about human trafficking and how it affects our region, the louder our voices will be to affect change.
Therefore, we welcome volunteers who are able to use their time and talents to help us reach out to our communities. Civic groups, clubs, youth groups and churches have invited the Tronie Foundation to speak to their members. We have developed a 30 minute presentation that includes an informational PowerPoint and an award-winning video. Additionally, we have brochures and other information to give to attendees.
As invitations come in, we will assign volunteers to respond based on their availability and location, experience and expertise. Additionally, we will request volunteers to research and propose educational opportunities in their own communities. Let’s keep the momentum going!Action: Let’s do more than talk-- let’s get moving! The Tronie Foundation has been successful in helping make Washington state a national leader in human trafficking legislation. But there’s more to do, and we welcome volunteers who can get things done! There are many ways to act:
- Research. What are other states or countries doing? How can we keep progressing?
- Legal or lobbying expertise.
- Don’t mind the red tape? Then help us sift through it!
Additionally, outside of the legal realm, we need volunteers to help us to do
- Fundraising. Help us brainstorm.
- Event planning: staffing, decorating, registration, info table, etc
- Professional skills: interpretation, counseling, ESL, medical, graphic design.
Independence: We desire to help human trafficking survivors enjoy the same freedoms we have. So we’re doing what no other non-profit in the Northwest has done: opening the region’s first shelter for human trafficking victims. It’s a big job. More on Homes of Freedom
Volunteers for the Tronie Foundation will undergo a background check before they can take part in required training. Additionally, we desire a minimum time commitment of at least six months. Please complete our Volunteer Application form here.
