THE CONCEPT: RE.MEMBER, 3WORDS IN ONE

Homes of FreedomRe.member carries within itself 3 words/action points. These words communicate the 2008/09 storied tour of the Tronie Foundation and Homes of Freedom.

First word/action: remember

To remember can instigate meaningful change. To remember can be an act of response-ability. To remember needs to become the single human (re) action on behalf of every human being silenced by slavery. To remember is love and protest, to remember is rehearsing the heart of love on the earth, to remember is to never forget and to never forget is to say 'I am raising my voice, I am becoming the key'

Second word/action: re-member

To re-member is to take that which was broken (dismembered) and make it whole again. The survivor has been fragmented by the trauma of this inhuman bondage, draw together the broken pieces, take them through a safe restorative process and the survivor begins to taste their long awaited wholeness, they re-enter the world as a re.membered human being.

Third word/action: me

Every me is reciprocal, it not only speaks of the me who has been the victim of HT, the one(s) who we need to remember, but the me speaks of the collective we that seek to live for the end of this modern day slavery. Every 'me' has a name, a family, a story, a hope, a voice, and through the storied tour we ask the collective me to rise and act as aforce of love for every human being enslaved today.

WHAT DOES ONE EXPERIENCE THROUGH RE.MEMBER

The RE.MEMBER tour offers the truthful struggle of two survivors of Human Trafficking. From Rani's and Trong's childhoods to today, you will take a visual and verbal journey through years of struggle, isolation, and hope. Through the layered images, the light-hearted candor and humor, and the unflinching belief in hope, you will walk away informed, inspired, and interrupted.

This presentation is no more than 45 minutes long. You will come away with a defined understanding of what Human Trafficking is and how we can be the voice to see its end. You will learn about Homes of Freedom, the initiative of The Tronie Foundation that built the first-ever safe haven in the Northwest for Human Trafficking survivors. To date there are very few safe houses for survivors of this worldwide injustice. The need is great, and you are the key in helping to establish a movement of restoration.
