HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Trafficking of person's takes many different forms: Some are forcibly abducted; others are tricked and still others opt to let themselves be trafficked, seduced by the promise of earnings but rot suspecting the level of exploitation and torture they will suffer at the other end of the recruiting chain. It always involves a journey, whether within a country - from the suburban neighborhood to a tourist resort for example - or across an international border At the final destination trafficked people are brought into an underground world of illegality and violence where they effectively disappear.

It is estimated that 1.2 million women and children are trafficked per year. These horrific crimes are being committed every day all across the world including in the United States. Children as young as 4 years old are being kidnapped or sold into this modern slavery.

Human Trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, harboring, provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services through the use of force fraud, or coercion.
