Global Survivor Network:

Through The Tronie Foundation's Survivor Mentorship Program (SMP) We have brought together many survivors around the world to be a member of our Global Survivor Network. We have learned that there is a great need for experts and survivors who have experienced human trafficking to speak-out and lead on the issues
Methodology and approach - Theory of Change
Survivors are often involved in counter-trafficking projects as beneficiaries and recipients of assistance rather than providers of knowledge and generators of change. This project will increase victim's participation in anti-trafficking interventions and will provide others with the tools to do the same.
The theory underlying this project is based on the understanding that survivors of trafficking garner a unique knowledge about the trafficking process and that they can become agents of change if empowered and skilled to do so. Survivors can inform effective awareness raising campaigns as much as they can develop interventions that will make a difference in the lives of many potential victims and vulnerable populations.
By supporting the process of establishing and training survivors, former victims are given the skills and power to shape counter-trafficking interventions themselves. Creating the opportunities and tools to turn the knowledge and experience of former trafficking victims into better-informed responses will help inform others of the dangers and can prevent further trafficking.
Project participants will develop a strong voice and the skills to design preventive messages and anti-trafficking activities. They will use this know-how to organize and hold awareness raising events with leaders & stakeholders in the anti trafficking movement globally.
GLOBAL YOUTH CAMPAIGN
The foundation sees the next generation as powerful agents of change. We currently partner with universities, teachers, principals, and other educational institutions to identify future leaders to help spur a shift in global consciousness and behavior about the issue of human trafficking. The Foundation's Global Youth Leadership Campaign inspires young people around the world to get involved in the global anti-trafficking movement.
